Today I'm sharing my versions of the gorgeous new pattern by the talented Heidi from Elegance and Elephants, The Mori Dress (there is a 10% discount at the end of this blog post).
I love the flounce style sleeves and the easy fit. I also love the fact that it doesn't have any closures, so it's easy for my little girl to put it on and take off by herself. She's starting to be more independent and enjoys dressing herself. :D
This is actually the second Mori dress I made and decided to make it maxi length. I love the look of the maxi length and my daughter likes it too! For this dress, I used a lightweight cotton lawn fabric with floral print. This fabric has a beautiful drape and is perfect for the hot summer days that are coming up. I'm so happy the weather is finally starting to warm up!
The dress below is the first Mori I made. I made it to fit a little bit above the knee, just like the pattern specifies. I used linen and for the middle bodice panel I used a beautiful handwoven Guatemalan fabric I've had in my stash for a while. I love how this one turned out as well!
If you would like to buy your copy of the pattern, Heidi is offering 10% off from now until April 30th at midnight (PST), with the code MORITOUR. So hurry and get your copy today!
Thank you for visiting my blog. Come back soon, because I will be sharing other patterns I've been busy testing.

It is perfection!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute dress. I've been contemplating this pattern and haven't taken the leap yet. I am not sure of my abilities in this pattern. I'm not super experienced in clothing sewing. I'm sure it's just me thinking it's harder than it really is.
ReplyDeleteThis is just stunning!!
