The Blue Ridge Dress Blog Tour

I was fortunate enough to test the Blue Ridge Dress, which is the first pattern from the talented Holli from Hello Holli. This dress pattern is now one of my favorite patterns. The design is so unique and feminine and the fit is great!

I have made 2 of these dresses so far and I know I will make more. I just wish I had more free time for sewing.

Anyway, this is the first dress I made.

I used chambray and Guatemalan hand loomed fabric for this one. As you can see, it features a curved bodice on the front and a lower curved bodice on the back. The skirt is gathered and the fit is perfect. It also features bias around the neck, armholes and below the bodice. The length of the skirt is at the knee, but you can adjust it according to your needs and likes.

In the back, it features a loop and button closure with a slit opening for easy wearing.

This pattern can also be made in tunic length, which would look super cute with a pair of shorts.

It comes in sizes 12 months to size 14, so you definitely get a good deal with this pattern!

This is the  second dress I made. This time I used all quilting cotton fabric  and a gold bias tape, which I found at Hobby Lobby and I thought would be perfect for this dress.

I'm very pleased with the result and my daughter really like it as well. She's very hard to please these days. Haha!

I love how the gold bias looks!

Anyway, if you are interested in buying this pattern, Holli is offering a 20% coupon with the code BLUERIDGELAUNCH and it's effective through Friday July 3rd, 2015 so don't wait too long to get your copy!

Anyway, I hope you guys have a great weekend and happy 4th of July!

  1. I can't get enough of this dress. I wondered if the gold might be bunchy since it's a bit more stiff but it looks so great on her and smooth as well! Nice work!
