Pattern Testing the Starlight City Dress, Modern Belle Dress and the Socialite Peplum Bubble Dress by Lil Luxe Collection

I had the pleasure to test more of Lil Luxe Collection's new patterns. The three new patterns that were recently released are the "Starligh City Dress", the "Modern Belle Dress" and the "Socialite Peplum Bubble Dress and Top." The three patterns are available as PDF downloads here (affiliate link), and are in sizes 18 mo to size 8.
If you want to know more about other Lil Luxe patters I've tested, you can go here and here

It features a beautiful pointy collar, the option of long or short sleeves, an open back and a knee length gathered skirt.

My favorite part about the Starlight City dress is the open back. I also like the distinct shape of the collar. This dress (as well as the Modern Belle) are very versatile, since you can customize the sleeve length and would make a perfect casual or party dress depending on the fabric you use.
For this dress, I decided to use 100% cotton fabric in wine and lilac color. These colors remind me of Fall and since the season was approaching when I sewed this dress, I thought these colors would be perfect for this dress. As I was sewing the dress, I realized that it needed a little more "bling", and I decided to sew some sequins on the collar and the bodice. On the hem of the dress, I sewed two row of stitches with a double needle, just to add a little bit more detail to the dressFor the photo shoot, I also made a matching headband out of a fabric remnant, which in my opinion, complements the dress quite nicely!
I'm pleased with how this dress turned out!

This dress is features a straight front/back and side gathers. It is both sophisticated and comfortable, which make it a winner in my opinion :)
This dress also features long/short sleeve options, making it perfect for every season.

This time, I decided to make it a long sleeved dress, since Fall and Winter are coming our way. I used a floral cotton fabric for the front and back panels and navy blue cotton fabric for the sides of the dress. I love how it looks on my little lady! She loves it because it's easy to put on and comfortable to wear.
This dress is a little bit oversized, but that is what makes it unique and beautiful. Do you agree?

Last but not least is the Socialite Peplum Bubble Dress (and top)

This pattern features a peplum top and a bubble dress version in both long sleeve and sleeveless (with flutter sleeves). The bodice of this dress and top is very distinctive because it has V shape on the front and the back. The bodice of this dress/top is also fully lined, making it perfect for girls who have a sensitive skin and don't like the feel of rough seams.

For this peplum top, I used 100% cotton fabric in a calico umbrella print and solid white cotton fabric for the sides, flounce and flutter sleeves. I think this top turned out as a perfect summer top, but it can also we worn in the fall with a shirt under it. The next one I make, all add the long sleeve so it can be worn through Fall and winter.

This dress/top doesn't require a button closure or zipper, due to it's wide neckline.

I hope you enjoyed my post. Come back soon!
