To be honest with you, I'm not ready for this week, but I will do what I can and see how far I can participate this week.
Yesterday I sewed a vintage inspired romper for my little girl. I've always been a fan of vintage clothing and little girl's rompers with ruffles. So I decided to try and make one like that.
A while back, I had bought a beautiful vintage sheet at the thrift store and saved it for when I had a chance to sew something pretty. Well, the day came, and I decided to use that pretty vintage sheet to make this romper.
As a base romper pattern, and modified the front into a bib-style and added ruffles around it. I also made the straps, according to my daughters measurements and decided to have the button closure in the front of the romper, instead of the back.
Here is how the romper turned out:
Overall, I'm pretty happy with how the romper turned out! I like how the light gingham fabric looks with the floral fabric and I think the wooden buttons give it a nice touch.
The good news is that my daughter really liked the romper! That made me happy, because she's very particular about what she wears and is at that age that she likes to change clothes every half hour. Haha! Don't get me started on that!
