Last weekend we went to one of my favorite places. I just love being away from the city and enjoy nature. It is so liberating! Also, I finally got to take some good pictures of the second Jaanu dress I made.
If you want to see my previous Jaanu dress go here. :D
I just LOVE this dress pattern! I love it's classic look and I'm sure it will be one of my go to patterns for the Fall.
For this dress, I used only one color, a beautiful burgundy. I also chose corduroy because I thought it would make a great version for the colder weather that is coming our way. Ahhhh... I wish Summer lasted for ever, but sadly that's not the case. Fall will be a good change though. This dress would also look great layered with some tights and a coat or an under shirt.
For this dress, I raise the pleats by an inch. I just wanted to see what it would look like and the difference is very settle. I think I like it both ways. I also added buttons at the end of the pleats, to add a little vintage look to the dress. My daughter really liked how this dress turned out! That's always a plus!!!
For the back of the dress, I used an invisible zipper like the pattern says, but I only had to white and was too lazy to go buy another one. The white is noticeable, but I kind of like it! I'm all about embracing imperfections, hehe!
The wind was blowing so hard that day, but it helped make the pictures more fun. Don't you think?
Thanks for visiting my blog and come again,
Maria <3
